Gladys Mezrahi

founder and ceo

of Indigo Events, a full service event planning and marketing studio with a history of leveraging strategic events and corporate opportunities to reach business goals and dazzle guests.

As founder of a premier skin and body care manufacturing company (Advanced Cosmetics) in Bogotá, Colombia through the 80’s and 90’s, Gladys paired high-profile special events with public relations and advertising to boost sales in a fiercely competitive industry.

From 1995-1999, she served as the Public Relations Manager for Pioneer International, a Wealth Management Corporation. During her tenure, she developed the concept of marketing through events for the wealth management industry, and began hosting innovative seminars and tactical events to build relationships and attract hard-to-access clients that traditional marketing channels fail to target.

With more than two decades in the event planning and marketing industry, Gladys’ corporate clients have included Visa, The Related Group of Florida, Poder Magazine, Trump Grand, The Museum of Modern Art in Colombia, Avianca, Coscan Homes, JAFCO, Fortune International, SMK Cape Horn, ICE Development Group, The City of Aventura, the Organization of America States (OEA), Miami Book Fair International, Komatsu, and Latin Business Club of America, among others.

She is an active member of the Aventura Marketing Council, Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options (JAFC0), and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves as the President of the Greater Miami Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and as a Board Member of Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT).

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Gladys studied International Finance and Marketing at the University of Miami.

Indigo Events Corporation is certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, the City of Miami, Miami-Dade, Broward County, and the City of Hollywood. It has also been recognized for the Emerging Business List for Super Bowl XLI.

Debbie M Shlesinger

vice president

joined the Indigo team in 2006, to spearhead operations and facilitate the expansion of the company.

A seasoned “detail person,” Debbie handles behind-the-scene project management for clients, in addition to creating marketing events, sponsor and vendor packages, on-site event organization and management as well as overseeing Indigo’s finances, billing, personnel and general administration.

Debbie gained experience in the non-profit fundraising arena by expanding UNICEF’s Halloween Campaign in the South Florida marketplace. She has also written a column for PODER Magazine and later gained experience in the Human Resources Department of Perry Ellis International, where she worked on employee recruitment and internship attraction initiatives.

“Early in my career, I realized my skill set is interdisciplinary. I see how different aspects of business are related, and intuitively understand how to keep projects and processes moving forward,” says Debbie. “Gladys has the creative vision, and I know how to implement and keep projects on track.”

In addition to managing operations for Indigo Events, Debbie leads the development of Connecting Our Cultures Inc. and oversees the company’s financials, serving as Treasurer and Secretary. She coordinates the project’s sponsor support, donor and vendor collateral, directs training for participating philanthropic organizations, and online donations.

Debbie is also deeply involved with WIZO ZORAHAT, a non-profit that raises money for projects serving women and children in Israel.

She is an alumnus of Choate Rosemary Hall and a graduate of Columbia University, where she studied Economics and Romance languages.
